Emergency shutoff valves

Your natural gas valves can be found in your utility closet. The valves shown in the photo below are in the "ON" position, in line with the supply tubes. To turn them "OFF" twist them 1/4 turn so that they are perpendicular to the tubes. The valve at the right in this photo is the main valve; the one with the red label serves your water heater; the other one is for your stove.
If you smell gas, call the gas company!



Your main water valve can be found in your utility closet. It is shown in the photo below in the "ON" position, with the YELLOW lever in line with the supply tube. To turn it "OFF" twist the lever 1/4 turn so that it is perpendicular to the tube. There might also be valves at each plumbing fixture inside your unit.
